Co-Founder and Chief Innovation Officer of Luke’s Lobster, who will join us from the company’s wharf in Portland, Maine where they buy direct from fishermen for their adjacent restaurant and to pack and ship to their other restaurants around the country.
Ben will demonstrate the many unique tools and rules that the Maine lobster industry has voluntarily adopted to make it one of the world’s most sustainable fisheries. Ben will also discuss how COVID-19 and climate change are affecting fisheries in the Gulf of Maine, and how Luke’s is helping the fishery adapt, diversify, and stay resilient.
