Please join us for a talk with Barbara Tyran of the Electric Power Research Institute. Barbara will address integrated energy networks, complex systems that are evolving to potentially connect electricity, gas, water, transportation, and telecommunications through smart communication technologies. Using intelligent sensors, utilities are increasing resilience, integrating cleaner energy resources, improving the customer experience, and enhancing system performance.
Barbara Tyran is Executive Director, Government & External Relations, in the Washington office of the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI). She serves as the principal liaison between EPRI executive management and Congress, the Administration, the national trade associations, state legislators/regulators, and the Washington energy community. She holds a BA degree with Honors from Stanford and an MBA from Yale.
