Alex will speak to the need for integrating locally-led efforts into broader climate action, including in responding to the impacts of climate change here in the U.S. and abroad. She will also highlight how private sector and public sector opportunities for climate solutions are on the rise and how crucial these partnerships are for sustained climate action.

Alex Miskho is a policy and law consultant with expertise in developing innovative policy solutions across intersecting fields in environmental issues. These include climate migration, health, security, ocean action and more.

Her background also spans clean energy, human rights, and assessing climate risks to the private sector. She has represented the U.S. in negotiations in multilateral fora. Alex has served as Senior Advisor to then- Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry at the U.S. Department of State. Alex is currently Abrams Environmental Law Clinic Fellow and Lecturer In Law at the University of Chicago Law School. She began her career as Interim Policy Director of the Yale Center for Environmental Law and Policy.Alex holds a J.D. (Yale Law ’22) and a B.S. (MIT).
