NYC: Pitching Environmental News: A workshop with YBG and VICE (6/1)

Yale Blue Green NYC has teamed up with our friends on the VICE News environmental desk to host an exclusive  tour of VICE headquarters, a talk on how environmental news is made, and a workshop on pitching environmental news! Followed by beer on the VICE rooftop overlooking the East River, this is a one-in-a-summer opportunity exclusively for ten YBG NYC members.

4:00pm: Meet at VICE
4:00-4:15pm: Tour of VICE
4:15-5:00pm: Presentation/Q&A: How is environmental news made?
5:00-6:00pm: Workshop: How to successfully pitch environmental news stories. What makes a good story? How do you engage reporters?
6:00pm: Beer on the roof
